IdevioMaps 5 for QlikView is now released

Idevio proudly presents the new IdevioMaps for QlikView. Based on the same architecture as the recently released IdevioMaps for Qlik Sense it combines optimal ease of use with superior flexibility and great visualizations. Use advanced drill-down features, optionally display in your local coordinate system and make selections in different ways directly from the map.

The unique layer concept with separate component for each layer makes it easy to add multiple layers to a map where each layer could be a different visualization and each can be configured individually. The layer component itself displays a legend for the layer.

Multiple layer types with different visualizations are available out-of-the-box. Display bubbles, lines, areas, pie charts, bar charts or heatmaps and control colors, sizes, labels and pop-ups with measures and expressions.

IdevioMaps 5 supports mapping without coordinates. The Idevio Location Service makes it possible to use names of things like administrative areas, cities or postal codes as an alternative to coordinates.

More information is available at http://bi.idevio.com/products/idevio-maps-5-for-qlikview.

IdevioMaps for both QlikView and Qlik Sense now are based on the same code and support the same features. If you are familiar with one of the versions the other one will be easy to use since the properties you configure with are the same.

Pies, bars and triangles – new features in IdevioMaps for Qlik Sense

Idevio today releases a new version of IdevioMaps for Qlik Sense.

There are several new features in the new IdevioMaps 5.1 for Qlik Sense:

  • The new Chart Layer presents pie charts or bar charts on the map. It is somewhat like a Bubble Layer with an extra dimension that represents the dimension on each little chart.
  • Bubbles in Bubble Layer now can have other shapes than round, such as triangles, squares, pentagons, hexagons or bars. They behave like bubbles except bars, which only grow upwards.
  • Support is added for Sense geometries which makes it possible to load kml-files and also upgrade easily from the built in map. You can use Sense geometries at all places a location ID can be used.
  • Satellite images now can be turned on in the layer control (check “Show Layer Control” in “Appearance”->”Interaction and Controls” in map settings to see it).
  • More geometries are continuously added to the Idevio Location Service. Lately postal areas have been added for USA, Denmark and Sweden.
  • Various minor fixes and improvements.

More information on IdevioMaps for Qlik Sense is available at http://bi.idevio.com/products/idevio-maps-for-qlik-sense.

You might wonder why the version number suddenly has jumped to 5.1? IdevioMaps for Qlik Sense and the new IdevioMaps for QlikView now are built on the same code base and will share version number.
